This role is based in Prague, Czech Republic. A relocation package is provided. Pure Storage, with 15 years of simplifying data storage, seeks a collaborative, results-oriented engineering director to grow a new cloud storage product. You will lead and inspire multiple engineering teams in Prague, fostering innovation and excellence.

Our cloud offerings blend mature storage engines with cutting-edge cloud components, requiring a leader with a big-picture viewcustomer economics, vendor ecosystems, and company strategyplus a deep understanding of enterprise workloads.

You will champion collaboration, partnering with Product Management to refine business cases and working with engineering teams to navigate complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities: Champion Pure's enterprise storage expertise for hyperscalers, transforming existing systems. Guide company-wide initiatives to adapt to the cloud business model across departments. Lead and mentor multiple engineering managers and teams to deliver new cloud products. Cultivate an engineering culture emphasizing quality, open communication, and teamwork. Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to create impactful solutions with deep ownership. Develop and lead strategy and roadmap, balancing short-term and long-term goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to create, drive, and deliver end-to-end system products. Qualifications: 10+ years of technical leadership, with 5+ years leading and mentoring teams. 3+ years as a Director in a multi-geographic setting, leading 30+ people and growing senior managers. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, especially with senior leadership. Proven track record in achieving high service uptime and implementing SRE functions. Experience building, deploying, and operating enterprise-grade cloud services. Strong leadership and development skills for engineering teams. Excellent strategic and technical guidance abilities. Enthusiastic, proactive, results-oriented, resourceful. Experience in storage is a plus but not required. As this is an office-centric role, presence in Prague 4 days a week is expected, with flexibility depending on business needs.
