Job Description

We're looking for a strategic leader who sees the big picture and can translate complex requirements into a connected, forward-looking architectural vision.
You’ll be part of a dynamic environment where adaptability, proactive problem-solving and outcome-driven thinking are key. Your ability to build strong networks internally and externally will help shape a resilient and inclusive architecture that supports our evolving business needs.

You'll be responsible for overseeing the enterprise-wide technology strategy. This role focuses on aligning technology solutions with business objectives. You'll lead a team of dedicated Enterprise architects and specialists, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices. You'll collaborate closely with Product and Platform leaders and architects, providing guidance on solution design and integration. You'll also develop and maintain the Architecture Repository as a central capability for Brambles globally.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Lead the Enterprise Architecture team, guiding them in setting technology policies, standards, and governance practices across the organization, ensuring compliance with lifecycle and asset management standards.
  • Develop and maintain the business, technical, application, information, process, and infrastructure views of the organization’s architecture to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
  • Ensure the technology strategy is aligned with the organization’s business strategy and incorporates current technology and market trends to drive future growth.
  • Partner with key business and technology stakeholders to provide a clear architectural roadmap, ensuring integration between IT and business goals while meeting organizational expectations.
  • Communicate the enterprise architecture strategy and associated roadmaps to impacted stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across departments.
  • Chair and manage the Technology Review Board (TRB) to drive strategic technology decisions, ensuring that technological advancements align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the development and communication of the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring it supports both current needs and future business demands.
  • Continuously monitor and assess emerging technology trends, ensuring that the enterprise architecture evolves to meet both internal and external challenges and opportunities.
  • Experience

  • Enterprise Architecture Expertise: Proven expertise in Enterprise Architecture principles, frameworks, and methodologies. This includes experience in defining and enforcing architectural standards, best practices, and principles across complex organisations.
  • Technology Governance and Compliance: Experience in overseeing technology governance processes, policies, and practices. This involves ensuring compliance with technology-related policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Solution Design and Integration: Demonstrated proficiency in solution design and integration, particularly in collaborating with Product and Platform teams to align technology solutions with business objectives. This includes experience in leading the design of integrated systems.
  • Team Leadership and Management: A track record of leading and managing teams of architects and specialists. This includes direct experience in providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
  • DR and Business Continuity Planning: Experience in developing and implementing IT Disaster Recovery (DR) plans, with a focus on the recovery of all business technology products and services. This also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective DR execution.
  • Knowledge Management and Repository Development: Background in developing and maintaining enterprise-wide knowledge repositories of technology and tools. This encompasses ensuring accessibility and relevance of knowledge resources for architectural decision-making. Data Architecture and Management: Proficiency in data architecture
    design and management, especially for business intelligence, analytics, and data warehousing. This includes experience in ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
  • Technology Selection and Application: Experience in providing advisory support to teams on technology selection and application. This involves overseeing the avoidance of duplication in technology investments and solutions.
  • Regional Technology Oversight: Experience in providing oversight of regional technology needs and choices, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards. This includes facilitating communication and collaboration between central EA function and regional teams. Policy Development and Compliance: Experience in managing enterprise
    processes, policies, and practices for the selection and advancement of technologies. This involves ensuring compliance with technology-related policies and industry best practices.
  • Change Management and Transformation: Background in leading organizational change initiatives related to technology and process improvement. This includes fostering a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • In-depth understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate business goals into technology initiatives.

  • Qualifications

    Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Desirable:

  • Relevant certifications in Enterprise Architecture or related domains (e.g., CoBIT, TOGAF) are highly desirable.
