Enterprise PMO Director page is loaded## Enterprise PMO Directorremote type: Hybridlocations: Reading areatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: October 10, 2025 (15 days left to apply)job requisition id: R28412**If you’d like to be considered for this opportunity we encourage you to apply promptly to avoid disappointment as if applications are high the role will close before the closing date given.****Role:** Enterprise Portfolio Management Office Director (ePMO)**Let us introduce the role**As Enterprise Portfolio Management Office Director (ePMO), you are accountable for the integration of projects and programmes into the AWE Portfolio and PMO Ecosystem to deliver a portfolio level understanding, through the generation of enterprise level management information, reporting and analysis on both business and portfolio performance to inform strategic intervention and risk mitigation.An integral part of the role will be building, shaping and leading the Strategic Warhead Enterprise (SWEP) 10 year Business Plan and providing AWE and the overall customer with integrated reporting and insight which demonstrates programme confidence and/or enables Executive and Board level stakeholder decision making.Reporting to the Engineering Director and working in close collaboration with Finance Director and Chief Commercial Officer, this is a critical and influential senior leadership role engages with senior stakeholders across the business to develop and provide complete clarity about AWE’s delivery against its mission in year and the long-term view.You will ensure outstanding Enterprise PMO standards are in place and create the capability to provide Programme Management Office services across the Defence Nuclear Enterprise, ensuring internal and external service level and key performance indicators are met.**Some of the key responsibilities:*** Lead the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, ensuring alignment of the AWE operating model with Customer programme requirements and enabling access to progress updates for the Executive Group and Board* Lead the ePMO interface office with the Customer (MOD)* Engage and seek cooperation across the ePMO, Finance, Commercial, wider AWE PMOs and AWE Executive to enable effective delivery of the ePMO agenda* Maximise the quality and timeliness of Management Information and insight provided to the AWE Executive and Board and by AWE to the MoD ensuring driving through enterprise-wide actions and Mission effectiveness* Ensure effective maintenance, governance and development of the Strategic Warhead Enterprise Plan (SWEP) and the utilisation of this to support decision making and intervention* Provide leadership and management to direct reports and their teams ensuring effective Mission performance and delivery against AWE and Customer performance metrics**Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following:*** Portfolio management qualification ( MoP)* Complex and high value (minimum £150 million) portfolio management experience* Successfully implemented & led a Portfolio Management Office across a large complex organisation* Proven experience of stakeholder management and relationships across wide range of stakeholders* High level of emotional intelligence and ability to create fellowship and develop and maintain relationships with key internal, external customers and stakeholders* Ability to make sense of complexity and communicate clearly* Demonstrated ability to establish and meet real commitments* Highly developed communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels* Highly developed facilitation, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills* Strong business acumen* The ability to make strategic decisions and follow them through to completion* Capable of making challenging decisions and holding firm on promise and commitments* Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience* Strong understanding of the regulatory environmentAll candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the correct security clearance for this role.#LI-TW1**Next steps:**Everyone who works at AWE brings unique skills and perspectives to the table.
