A leading global financial institution is seeking an experienced and strategic Employee Relations & Policy Director to oversee employee relations, HR governance, and regulatory compliance across its Europe and Asia Pacific operations. This is a senior-level role offering the opportunity to influence policy, manage complex ER matters, and engage with regulatory bodies in a highly regulated, multinational environment.
Responsibilities Lead the employee relations function across Europe and Asia Pacific, acting as the primary subject matter expert. Manage complex ER cases including whistleblowing, grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management. Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal governance frameworks. Develop and maintain HR policies and employee handbooks in accordance with local and global regulatory requirements. Serve as the key HR contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors. Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and HR Centres of Excellence to ensure robust governance and control. Design and deliver training programmes for HR professionals and people managers.
