Job Title: Part-time/Fractional Finance Director. I am recruiting a Part-time/Fractional Finance Director directly on behalf of Monenti Partners, a rapidly expanding financial planning firm based in London, WC1. The Opportunity: This is a high-impact role for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in dynamic, scaling environments. You’ll be a key strategic adviser in a growing business, working closely with ambitious and values-driven Directors and senior leadership team to provide accurate financial reporting, guide strategic planning, and ensure every financial decision aligns with the business’s long-term objectives. Your insights will drive smarter decisions and help accelerate the company’s growth trajectory. This is a flexible, part-time role, with autonomy and ownership and the opportunity to shape the Finance function as the business grows. We are looking for a minimum commitment of 4 days a month (ideally 1 day a week) and ideally you will be based in the Southeast, with the ability to be present in the central London office (WC1) periodically. Day rate: £(Apply online only) (dependant on experience). The Person: The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant and an exceptional Finance Director / Finance Controller. You will have worked at a strategic, senior management level, taking full accountability for the finance function and steering ambitious SMEs through growth, ideally within a professional services environment. Monenti Partners have been established for 5 years and expect their turnover of £2.4 million to double within the next 5 years, so they are looking for a Finance Director who has the experience required to guide them through this expansion. They are growing both organically and through acquisition, so experience of cash flow forecasting, valuation and the financial due diligence surrounding acquisitions is also essential. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and further refine financial systems, controls, and reporting frameworks, implementing process improvements and efficiencies. * Identify, assess, and manage financial risks proactively. * Design and implement financial dashboards and KPIs to enhance visibility and performance tracking. * Lead budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and financial modelling processes, providing financial oversight of acquisition opportunities, including business valuation analysis and due diligence. * Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts and financial statements and deliver financial insights and recommendations in bi-monthly board meetings. * Prepare information required by the external accounts for production of statutory and management accounts, overseeing service delivery and compliance, ensuring adherence to tax and regulatory requirements. * Calculate monthly deferred goodwill payments and oversee bonus payments. * Oversee income reconciliation, payment of invoices and the payroll function. Experience required: * Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Director or equivalent, with a broad exposure and experience of supporting rapidly expanding SME’s, ideally gained in a regulated, professional services environment. * A qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or ICAEW), with an excellent understanding of UK tax regulations, accounting standards and compliance requirements and a strong command of financial planning, reporting, and forecasting. * A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, comfortable working independently and proactively. * Experience of building cashflow forecasts and undertaking business valuations and the due diligence required to support acquisitions and future growth. * Exceptional communication skills and ability to distil complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. * Experience of implementing and managing dashboards and KPIs. * Strong technical proficiency in Excel, Xero and related tools. * Experience of operating an EMI scheme would be useful but is not essential.
