ABPM are working with a successful family-held manufacturer to recruit a Finance Director. As the No. 2 to the MD, you will have a number of central functions reporting into you, as well as having to adopt a hands-on approach to lead an established finance team to ensure accurate group financial compliance and timely production of management accounts.

An ideal role for a financial leader looking for a broad remit to strengthen financial performance of the business by focusing on commercials, problem-solving, and analysing business data.

The successful candidate will support the Managing Director and the leadership team. With key responsibilities which include:

• Lead, guide and develop a finance team.
\n\t
• Monthly management accounting including P&L, balance sheets and forecasts.
\n\t
• Cashflow management, forecasting and WIP.
\n\t
• Prepare budgets for revenue and operational costs.
\n\t
• Prepare VAT, import & export duties, and corporate tax for reporting.
\n\t
• Analyse performance against budget.
\n\t
• Track and review forecast overseas currency transactions.
\n\t
• Monthly group management financial pack.
\n\t
• Statutory accounts, audit, tax and VAT compliance.
\n

This role requires a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA) with a background in manufacturing who has previous experience in an influential leadership position to maintain strong financial controls with a proven track record as a business partner to an MD or CEO.
