Finance Director

New Today

Are you in danger of plateauing? Getting bored, frustrated, or under-rewarded for the part you play in driving profits? Ready to stretch your skills, have more influence, and take a seat at the table where growth decisions are made? If so, this could be your opportunity. This is a £200m turnover business with a clear ambition: to double in size within five years. Together with the MD, you'll play a pivotal role in making that happen. You'll be at the centre of the action, leading from the front and engaging the wider business. No one's pretending it will be easy. Dynamic growth at this pace requires flexibility, commercial instinct, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves. If you haven't opened Excel in years or prefer to stay in the ivory tower of strategy, this isn't the role for you. However, if you thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced culture where even the Board delves into the details when needed, you'll feel right at home. The Business This company blends founder-led values and exceptional quality with the backing of a larger group. The central Group Finance team handles HMRC, tax, treasury and the like, freeing you up to focus on what matters:

driving commercial performance. You'll inherit a capable team, but there are apparent skills gaps. You'll have the freedom to recruit, reshape, and leave your own mark. What You'll Be Doing Partnering with a tenacious, driven MD to deliver ambitious growth,

both organic and through acquisition. Providing insight and challenge at Senior Management and Board level to

influence decisions. Leading financial performance improvement through

systems, margin optimisation, revenue growth and cashflow control. Bring a

continuous improvement mindset

and encourage the same across your team. It's a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Power BI skills would stand out if you have them (but not essential). And suppose you've worked in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain management, or a similar field. In that case, you'll know precisely how much devil hides in the detail when it comes to really understanding the margins and levers. This isn't a purely strategic, hands-off position. It's about being hands-on enough to get under the skin of the numbers, while shaping the business at the highest level. What You'll Bring A recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence at Board level. A track record of improving performance through systems, insight, and decisive action. An action-oriented, solutions-focused mindset, with the agility to manage competing priorities at pace. What's in it for you? Salary up to

£150,000 Bonus potential around

30% Car allowance of

£10,000 Pension up to

15% 30+ days holiday What's more, you'll be joining a business accredited as a fabulous place to work, as voted by its loyal employees. Isn't it time you joined them? Roles like this don't appear often. Don't worry if your CV isn't perfect; send me what you have, or feel free to drop me a message on LinkedIn.
