I am recruiting a Finance Director (FD) for a complex Business Services client (turnover c£13m) with a strategy in place to scale through acquisitions to an exit. Due to the fact that the organisation is growing through acquisition we need to recruit a new FD who ‘has been here before’, i.e., you must come with: Previous experience in supporting a CEO / Founder with growth whilst managing the day to day financial activity with the support of a small team. Experience gained in an investor (VC / PE / Debt) backed SME environment; exposure to M&A would be beneficial. Your responsibilities will include: All day-to-day financial operations. You will need to be hands on in your approach, but also efficient in supervising and mentoring a small finance team. Manage all budgeting, forecasting and cashflow activity. You must be able to business partner effectively with the divisional directors to help drive their profitability. Own and evolve the company’s financial model. Specifically focused on fund raising activity Report internally to the Board and externally to the Investor. Improving the quality and depth of the reporting where possible.
