An excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team. Our client is a well established global insurer based in the City. As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring that branch financial reporting is completed to a high quality and in a timely manner.
You will be part of a growing team and responsibilities will include managing the preparation and review process of branch financial results, maintaining a clear overview and understanding of the translation of operational data into financial results, analysing changes in regulations (e.g. statutory, legal) and the potential impact on the branch, developing and improving the underlying processes, contributing to the continued development of the general ledger and underwriting system, and supporting end to end project management for functional projects.
The successful candidate will be a Finalist or Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience of working in the Insurance industry or in Practice/Audit (dealing with insurance clients). You will have an understanding of the current insurance industry financial reporting standards and external statutory and regulatory requirements, and knowledge of general ledger systems. Strong Excel skills will be required.
