Financial Director

Our client, a high-growth international media and entertainment company backed by leading investors, is seeking a Finance Director to take ownership of the global finance function. This newly created role will oversee Financial Operations, Financial Control, and FP&A, ensuring robust reporting, scalable systems, and commercial insights that support the company’s ambitious international growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and modernise the global finance function, spanning financial operations, reporting, and planning.
  • Oversee AR, AP, payroll (France, UK, Spain), cash management, FX, and banking relationships.
  • Drive monthly and annual group consolidations, IFRS and French GAAP reporting, and statutory compliance.
  • Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives, including international expansion, M&A integration, and transfer pricing.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and business planning in collaboration with the FP&A team.
  • Implement best-in-class processes, systems, and controls to enable scalability and efficiency.
  • Provide commercial and financial insights to senior leadership and the Board.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global finance team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience at Finance Director / senior finance leadership level within fast-paced, international businesses.
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS and French GAAP.
  • Fluent French and English (essential).
  • Proven track record in scaling finance functions, leading transformation, and implementing new systems.
  • Strong FP&A and commercial finance experience, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Background in media, entertainment, or content industries (royalty accounting, licensing, ad revenue) is advantageous.
  • Energetic, collaborative, and entrepreneurial mindset.
