Head of People and Culture at Memento Exclusives

Memento Exclusives is revolutionising the world of sports memorabilia and licensed products. We maximise revenue opportunities for sports teams, athletes, and rights holders across multi-channel solutions. Through our innovative partnerships, we design, develop and deliver cutting edge products and services into the marketplace, bringing fans closer to the sport, teams and athletes they love. We are looking for an experienced Finance Director from a manufacturing/retail background to oversee the financial aspects of the business and drive the company’s financial strategy and planning. You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments. The goal is to guide the company towards profitability and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes and deliver to the CEO
  • Deliver month end processes, delivering accurate and timely management accounts and KPIs including variance analysis and commentary for CEO and Board review
  • Analyse performance, profitability and cost drivers to support decision making

Technical/Accounting Knowledge

  • Ensuring accounting policies comply with UK GAAP / IFRS
  • Ensuring tax compliance with HMRC and other external bodies regulations and filing deadlines including VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE and overseas tax submissions
  • Working with external auditors to ensure timely filing of statutory accounts with Companies House
  • Overseeing audit and internal control operations

Cashflow and Treasury

  • Ensuring that weekly and monthly cashflow forecasts are maintained and managed
  • Managing the day to day cashflow, liquidity and working capital including controls over the debtors, creditors, inventory and banking facilities
  • Managing the debts crucial for the financial health of the Company. Debt financing requires the collaboration with other departments to create a robust financial model.

Internal Controls and Governance

  • Ensure compliance with company law accounting standards and ethical practices
  • Working alongside the CEO and other members of the leadership team to ensure that practices around the business align with good financial controls
  • Ensuring insurance coverage is in place and sufficient for current and growing business

People and Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day leadership of the finance team
  • Foster strong relationships across all departments – helping non-finance colleagues understand the financial implications of their decisions
  • Encourage a culture of openness and partnership, positioning finance as a strategic enabler

Our Ideal Applicant

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director in a manufacturing sector
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, laws and best practices
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability
  • Excellent IT skills and proficient in financial software (e.g. SAP, Netsuite, Excel) and advanced financial modelling skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
