OverviewWe are seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Social-Centric Account Director to lead our social media efforts for one of our major clients. This role drives the strategic direction, execution, and optimisation of all social media activities across paid and organic channels, and spearheads tactical campaigns. You will be the primary point of contact for our client’s social media stakeholders, ensuring VML delivers innovative, effective, and brand-aligned social solutions that drive business objectives and deepen customer engagement. You will lead the client relationship and delivery, working hand-in-hand with a dedicated Social Strategist and Social-Centric Creatives to bring these visions to life.What you’ll be doingClient Leadership: Becoming the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for senior marketing stakeholders with our client, building strong, long-term relationships, and proactively identifying growth opportunities.Strategic Vision: Developing and championing comprehensive, segment-specific social media strategies that translate our client's business objectives into actionable, measurable results.Delivery Excellence: Overseeing the end-to-end delivery of all social media projects, ensuring high quality, on-time, and on-budget execution with a dedicated account team.Performance & Optimisation: Defining KPIs, analysing data, and driving continuous improvement to ensure maximum impact and ROI.Team Collaboration: Fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment, working with Social Strategists and Social-Centric Creatives to bring visions to life.What You'll NeedAccount management experience within a creative, media, or digital agency, with a significant focus on social media. Deep expertise across major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), covering organic content, paid media, community management, and analytics.Proven ability to manage large, complex client accounts, ideally within the financial services sector, with exposure to both B2C and B2B marketing. Multi-Audience Acumen: understanding diverse audience needs and brand identities.Strategic Acumen: The ability to translate complex business objectives into clear, actionable social media strategies.Collaborative Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and orchestrate cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
