based in London (City) the role holder will be expected to be in the office 3 days a week with some further flexibility if required.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Oversee payroll teams across EMEA & APAC near shored locations.
- Design and implement internal controls to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately, timely and in compliance with international country and regional specific laws and regulations; and substantiated by sufficient set of underlying documentation and support.
- Oversee full-cycle Payroll and HR Operations processing for 21 counties in EMEA and APAC.
- Recruit and develop the best-in-class talent that will be subject matter experts and points of contact for all internal and external payroll inquiries.
- Engage and influence standards for practices and procedures of financial controls related to payroll activities
- Review and development of control documentation for the end-to-end payroll process.
- Identify opportunities for operating procedures with Regulatory and Compliance guidelines to substantiate audits.
- Determine appropriate strategy on payroll team to minimise legal consequences and impact operations.
- Coach resolution approach to organisational objectives.
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers.
- Lead team to achieve business objectives.
- Interact with internal and external customers.
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for payroll.
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
- You will manage a team of 10-15 FTE
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in International Payroll,
- Management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Extensive years of end-to-end experience in international Payroll, Payroll Tax, HR Operations and audit
- Experience with Workday Payroll, ServiceNow, ADP Global View Payroll and CloudPay Payroll.
- Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage complex projects in a large enterprise environment
- Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong change management skills, technology proficiency, systems thinking and quality orientation
- Ability to solve problems and make timely and independent decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
- Qualified Accountant (CPA/ACA or equivalent) is desired but not a pre-requisite
- Comfortable operating in a changing environment while demonstrating agility and flexibility
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills
