Group Finance Director, Private Equity Owned software

We are delighted to be partnered with a leading mid-market Private Equity firm to lead the search for a Group Finance Director for a high growth SaaS asset with offices in London. The business has delivered strong organic growth and has successfully completed recent acquisitions as part of its buy and build strategy. With continued international expansion and a medium-term exit on the horizon, they are seeking a Group Finance Director to partner closely with the Group CFO on all financial, commercial, and strategic matters.

This is a highly visible role within a lean leadership team, offering significant responsibility for shaping the finance function and delivering value creation. The position will suit a proven finance leader with both technical depth and commercial experience in mid-market private equity backed technology businesses.

THE ROLE:

• Lead and develop the group finance function, ensuring best-in-class reporting, control, and planning processes
• Own group consolidation, statutory reporting, and investor materials, driving transparency and credibility in financial performance
• Partner with the CFO on all aspects of equity story development and investor relations
• Drive improvements in financial systems and processes to support a scalable, efficient finance platform
• Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across the group, ensuring risks and opportunities are clearly communicated
• Support M&A activity including due diligence, integration, and post-deal performance tracking
• Deliver insightful board packs and commercial analysis to support decision making and operational performance
• Act as a key business partner across the leadership team, ensuring financial discipline and accountability across commercial and operational functions
• Introduce practical reporting and KPI frameworks to provide timely visibility on performance and growth levers

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Significant post-qualified experience with progression into senior finance leadership roles
• Strong background in SaaS or technology-led businesses with a recurring revenue model
• Experience within a mid-market private equity backed business is beneficial
• Broad finance skillset across financial control, FP&A, and commercial finance
