We’re excited to be working with a hugely successful Asset Management and Private Equity investor, who have created a new position as a result of sustained market growth. This is a role with clear succession planning in mind and will create a future opportunity for the successful individual. Reporting into the Group CFO, this role will take on full leadership responsibilities of the Group Finance team. This is a critical leadership role in supporting the delivery of the Group’s financial strategy, governance and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Groups financial control, accounting, reporting and consolidation activities
• Managing all IFRS and regulatory requirements for a FTSE-listed business
• Key business partner to the board and Ex-Co
• Contribute to the strategic financial planning and operation decision making in the Group
• Lead a team of 12 accountants and be responsible for their development and support
• Implement and develop a financial reporting framework commensurate to a listed business
• Improve financial systems and processes and support current developments to finance technology
• Manage all external audit planning and relationships and support statutory
• Revamp the annual audit planning process
• Support all regulatory and tax output and compliance reporting
• Support the Group FD and be a genuine succession plan for future
• Leadership and team development

Experience and Qualifications

Experience Needed:

• Fully qualified ACA ideally from a ‘big four’ environment
• At least 10 years experience in a similar position
• Must have experience in Financial Services
• Must have strong experience within in a FTSE listed environment (non-negotiable)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Hands-on leader who genuinely enjoys team development
• Passion for putting finance at the forefront of the organisation
• Proven business partner and finance ‘story-teller’
• Experience of Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage
