Overview
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior international finance leader to join a Multi-Billion PE Backed Professional services organisation during a period of transformational growth. With operations spanning globally this is a rare chance to step into a senior leadership role.
Reporting directly to CFO, the Group Finance Director will act as a key strategic partner to the executive team. The remit covers global accounting operations, financial planning and analysis, shared service delivery, multi‑currency consolidation, financial reporting, compliance, and post‑acquisition integration. This position also offers clear long‑term career progression, with succession to Group CFO of this multi‑billion pound business.
The Opportunity
This is a career‑defining role for a senior finance professional with proven international leadership experience. You will play a central part in shaping the financial strategy and operational resilience of a multi‑billion dollar international division, while contributing to global transformation initiatives across one of the most diverse international footprints in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global accounting operations, financial reporting, and multi‑currency consolidations across 90+ jurisdictions
- Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting to drive strategic decision‑making
- Direct shared service operations, ensuring scalable, efficient, and compliant processes
- Manage internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit oversight
- Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives including M&A integration, process transformation, and system optimisation
- Provide high‑quality financial insights and reports to the executive team, Board, and external stakeholders
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse international finance team
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven track record in a senior international finance leadership role within a complex, fast‑paced global organisation
- Experience working for an American PLC and technically proficient with US GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi‑currency consolidation
- Experience establishing or scaling shared service centres and delivering finance transformation
- Commercially minded, with a background in financial planning, cash flow management, and strategic decision support
- Experienced in M&A due diligence, purchase accounting, and integration
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate at C‑suite level
- Strong leadership capability with experience developing high‑performing international teams
