Group Operations Director – Fire & Security Services

Location: Hybrid (Hertfordshire & Midlands)

Salary: £65,000 – £80,000 + Car/Car Allowance + Private Healthcare + Benefits

A privately owned and growing fire and security group is seeking an experienced Group Operations Director to lead and develop its multi-site operations in line with ambitious growth targets.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a newly created role offering a rare opportunity to shape the operational strategy and performance of two well-established businesses within the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across all operational departments
  • Drive improvements in service delivery, project execution, and compliance
  • Lead and mentor management teams across multiple locations
  • Develop and implement KPIs to ensure operational excellence and efficiency
  • Support innovation, continuous improvement, and growth initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership on group-wide strategy and execution

Candidate Profile:

  • Significant experience in a senior/director-level operations role within a service or project-led environment
  • Ideally has experience within the fire and security sector (not essential)
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making capabilities
  • Commercially minded, with a focus on quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing SME environment
