Tecni-Form is a leading UK manufacturer specializing in rotational moulding and reaction injection moulding (RIM). With over 50 years of experience, we serve sectors including automotive, healthcare, and industrial equipment. The Head of Business (Managing Director Designate) role offers the opportunity to influence future policies and company development, with the potential to succeed the current Managing Director who would continue as Chairman.

You will join a privately owned polymer manufacturing company that values staff and offers a supportive, forward-thinking work culture. Location: Stone, Staffordshire. Employment type: Full-time, permanent. Salary: Up to £125k plus profit share. Holiday: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays. Pension: Contributory NEST Pension. Benefits include Company Sick Pay Scheme, Christmas Shutdown, and Annual Salary review.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish a sustainable model of operational management excellence through effective leadership and management to enable and empower the existing team to achieve excellent manufacturing performance.
• Be an aspirational role model to develop managers and identify rising stars for succession planning.
• Bring a clear and credible management style and instil high-quality management techniques.
• Maintain a close relationship with major customers and represent the company at meetings.
• Collaborate with financial, technical and commercial management to achieve profit performance.
• Ensure delivery on capital expenditure programmes.
• Maintain relationships with major suppliers and negotiate on key contracts.
• Work with HR and HS contractors to ensure safe working conditions and staff relations.
• Assume overall responsibility for implementing manufacturing, financial, commercial, and marketing policies.

Essential Criteria

• Extensive experience managing in a manufacturing operation with at least 5 years in team management.
• Strong technical and commercial experience.
• Results-driven with a proven track record of operational management excellence and driving change and culture.
• Comfortable leading and mentoring others.
• Proactive, curious and solution-oriented.
• Strong business acumen with a desire to be heavily involved in the company’s strategy and growth.

• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills; tactful, confident, and clear.

• Experience of financial and commercial processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Educated to Masters, MBA, or equivalent.
