Who’s the Business?

Our client is a fast-growing, Series B InsurTech scale-up on a mission to reinvent how individuals and businesses experience insurance. Backed by top-tier investors and experiencing rapid expansion, the company combines cutting edge technology, data driven underwriting, and a customer first mindset to modernise a traditionally slowmoving industry. With a collaborative culture, a strong leadership team, and a product that’s scaling at pace, this is an opportunity to join a business entering its next stage of accelerated growth.

What You Will Do

As Head of Finance, you’ll be a key strategic partner to the CFO and leadership team, owning the financial operations that enable the business to scale effectively. You will:

  • Build robust financial processes, systems, and controls suited to a scaling, global tech business.
  • Oversee monthly reporting, board packs, KPI dashboards, and investor reporting.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Commercial teams to drive financial insight and operational efficiency.
  • Support strategic planning, including annual budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and long-term financial strategy.
  • Lead on cashflow management, working capital optimisation, and cost discipline.
  • Provide financial leadership on fundraising preparation, due diligence, and M&A activity as needed.
  • Ensure compliance across statutory reporting, audit, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Experience Required

  • Significant experience in a senior finance role within a high-growth scale-up, ideally in fintech, insurtech, or a regulated environment.
  • Strong technical finance background, with proven experience in financial control, FP&A, and implementing scalable systems.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Track record of building and leading a finance team in a growing business.
  • Comfortable operating strategically while also being hands-on where needed.
  • Excellent business partnering skills and the ability to influence decisions at executive and board level.
  • Experience preparing for fundraising rounds, interacting with investors, or working in an investment-backed organisation.
  • Highly analytical, data-driven, commercially minded, and resilient in a fast-moving environment.
