Overview

A global professional services organisation is seeking an Interim Finance Director to cover a 12-month period during a leadership transition. Reporting to the COO and leading a high-performing finance team, this role will provide continuity across control, planning, and reporting, while supporting business-critical decision making at board level.

This role ensures seamless financial leadership across statutory compliance, FP&A, and business partnering. You’ll work closely with the COO and senior leadership team, combining day-to-day oversight with forward-looking analysis and strategic guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial control, statutory reporting, and audits across multiple jurisdictions
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
• Partner with leadership to provide commercial insight and decision support
• Manage and develop a small, international finance team, including PMO and grants functions
• Strengthen systems, processes, and reporting to embed best practice

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong FP&A and business partnering background, ideally in professional services or international growth environments
• Experienced in managing statutory reporting, compliance, and audits
• Senior communicator, comfortable engaging at board level
• Pragmatic and hands-on, able to balance strategy with execution
