The Company
Filigran, founded in October 2022, stands out in the cybertech ecosystem for its commitment to revolutionizing cyber threat management with a proactive approach. Its mission is to develop innovative open-source solutions designed to anticipate cyber threats, identify security gaps, and strengthen organizational security posture.
Filigran solutions are now trusted by over 6,000 public and private organizations worldwide.
The Role
We're looking for a Director of Learning & Development to join our People team and lead the design, delivery, and evolution of our global L&D strategy. You’ll work closely with leaders, managers, and teams across APJ, EU, and NA to ensure Filigraners are continuously developing the skills, mindsets, and leadership capabilities needed to thrive in a fast-changing world.
Your mission: turn learning & development into a cultural cornerstone that fuels high performance and continuous growth.
Your Responsibilities
Leadership & Career Development
- Design and deliver leadership development programs (e.g. performance management, running 1:1s, giving feedback, leading through change)
- Build and maintain a scalable leadership framework aligned with our values and strategic direction
- Create and update career development frameworks and matrices that promote transparency, equity, and growth
- Provide coaching or design facilitated sessions for managers and high-potential employees
- Develop job-specific training programs based on role needs, upskilling gaps, or emerging industry trends
- Identify learning needs across the company through org-wide assessments, performance reviews, or feedback loops
- Launch and maintain continuous learning experiences that reflect global trends and evolving competencies
- Deliver trainings on core company practices (e.g. communication charters, giving presentations, documentation, company values and info)
- Create and continuously improve onboarding journeys (video modules, self-serve resources, async ramp-up plans)
- Partner with teams to document key workflows and playbooks to build a culture of accessible knowledge-sharing
- Support internal enablement on tools, best practices, and internal policies
- Own or support the L&D tech stack (e.g. LMS, onboarding tools, knowledge bases)
- Build and manage the L&D roadmap aligned to company strategy and growth
- Set and track learning success metrics (engagement, application, impact, etc.)
- Manage L&D budget and external vendor relationships as needed
- Embed inclusive design and accessibility across all programs
- Ensure localization, relevance, and effectiveness of content across diverse geographies and cultures
- Support DEI goals through content and career access strategies
- Reports to the Chief People Officer
- Collaborates closely with: People team, Leadership, and Sales, Marketing, Product & Engineering
- Works cross-functionally across regions and teams; may manage future L&D specialists or facilitators as we scale
- 8+ years of experience in Learning & Development within global, remote-first tech environments
- Proven ability to build and execute L&D strategy end-to-end — from vision to hands-on delivery
- Deep expertise in leadership development, instructional design, and performance enablement
- Experience designing scalable programs from scratch, not just deploying off-the-shelf solutions
- Comfortable working across time zones and async-first workflows, with global stakeholder alignment
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with a knack for simplifying complex concepts
- Skilled in leveraging L&D tech tools (e.g. LMS, onboarding platforms, knowledge-sharing systems) and using data to measure impact
- Experience in a fast-scaling, growth-stage startup, ideally supporting cross-functional teams
- Strategic thinker with a bias for action — able to operate independently and drive initiatives forward without direct reports
- Empathetic communicator who builds trust across cultures and functions
- Bonus: Experience in cybersecurity or technical environments is highly preferred
We’re a fast-growing, global, and fully remote company on a mission to empower defense teams to be proactive — through open-source solutions that uncover threats and drive action.
