You’ll have access to a lender with a huge amount of discretionary capital. That means you can do more deals, faster, without waiting for approvals from multiple sources.

What you’ll do

You’ll grow the firm’s presence in the large ticket (£10m - £75m) development lending market. You’ll identify and cultivate potential direct borrowers as well as brokers and other financial intermediaries.

Representing and promoting the firm at industry events will help you build your personal brand and network. You’ll also help shape the lending strategy through your market knowledge.

Evaluating and screening potential transactions will give you the chance to influence which deals get funded. You’ll develop credit memos for those to be progressed by the credit committee, with support from the credit operations team.

Ensuring terms agreed with borrowers represent the best commercial position will protect your reputation as a dealmaker. You’ll present loans to the credit committee, including representatives from a global insurance company.

Negotiating and structuring transactions, including the security package and loan agreement, will give you hands-on experience of closing high-value deals. You’ll liaise with lawyers and professional third parties as required to execute the transaction.

What you’ll need

  • 10+ years of experience in UK real estate lending
  • A well-developed network of introducers and borrowers
  • Proven track record of structuring and underwriting high-value loans
