Role: Managing Director – Blockchain, Web3 & Crypto Business Unit
Location: US or Europe – fully remote with extensive travel
Comp: $450,000 - $500,000 + Token-based incentives aligned with ecosystem performance
Our client, a pioneering organisation at the forefront of blockchain, Web3, and crypto , is seeking an accomplished Managing Director to lead a core business unit and drive innovation, growth, and decentralisation across these rapidly evolving sectors.
About the Opportunity
Fully remote with occasional travel Reports directly to the CEO Token-based incentives aligned with ecosystem performance Lead global teams of engineers, researchers, and community builders Shape the future of a top-tier blockchain, Web3, and crypto platformKey Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for engineering, research, and ecosystem development in blockchain, Web3, and crypto environments Develop and execute strategies for governance, protocol development, and decentralised adoption Represent the organization to the global blockchain, Web3, and crypto communities, as well as industry stakeholders Champion decentralisation, tokenomics, and community-led innovation Build strategic partnerships and drive engagement across the blockchain, Web3, and crypto landscape Oversee compliance with relevant crypto and blockchain regulations and best practicesIdeal Candidate Profile
Hands-on experience as a software engineer or cryptographer, ideally within blockchain, Web3, or crypto projects. Proven leadership in transitioning from technical roles to business management, particularly in distributed, remote teams. Strong academic background in computer science, mathematics, or a related field Deep commitment to decentralisation, token economies, and the future of blockchain, Web3, and crypto Exceptional communication skills, able to bridge technical and business conversations at the highest levels Tenacious, adaptable leader ready to navigate ambiguity and rapid industry growthCultural Fit
