Day Rate: circa-£950.00 inside IR35
Contract: 9 months

The Role

An excellent opportunity for a senior digital leader to take on a pivotal role in transitioning the digital transformation of a Government department.

You will lead the consolidation and migration of technology stacks and data into a Microsoft 365 environment. You will also be responsible for developing new ways of working that enable collaboration across Government departments and the wider public sector, while ensuring continuity of services throughout the change.

Reporting directly to the Government Chief Technology Officer, you will lead expert digital teams and manage suppliers to deliver a modern, secure, and cost-effective IT environment.

  • Lead the migration of data and services from Google Workspace to M365 infrastructure.
  • Provide vision and leadership to set the strategic direction for the IT transition, embedding policies and processes.
  • Develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure seamless service continuity.
  • Work with suppliers and corporate IT services to deliver a smooth transition.
  • Oversee digital governance, ensuring resilient service delivery, technical standards, and effective risk management.

    • Skills/Experience:​​​​​​​

  • Proven experience of bringing together the technology of multiple organisations, in merger and acquisition scenarios.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build trusted relationships with diverse groups of stakeholders, including Board-level
  • Experience in building strong networks and delivering digital services in complex organisations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to set clear direction, motivate, inspire, and empower teams.
  • A track record of driving large-scale IT transition or transformation programmes.
