OverviewTSR Legal are working with a leading Legal 500 practice with a wonderful building in Swansea who are seeking an ambitious and motivated Director / Partner to join the Private Client team, specifically to work on Tax and Trusts matters.Successful applicants will have strong experience within accountancy or Tax and Trusts matters across the board as well as wealthy private clients who are both resident and non-resident.ResponsibilitiesResidence and domicile and tax planning for non-residents or non-domiciliariesInternational tax treaties, in respect of tax residence and liability to taxation of income, capital gains and inheritancesUK legal and tax issues facing trustees and beneficiaries of overseas trustsPreparing trustees resolutions and deeds of appointment of funds.Correspondence with executors, trustees, beneficiaries and other professionals.Promoting a compassionate and sensitive disposition and client experience when dealing with the elderly or incapacitated.Proactively networking and marketing within the team to generate new business and reputation.Attending clients in their own environment as required.Responsibility for mentoring and assisting more junior team members.Maintaining good billings records within the team.Desired SkillsLegal background with specific experience in tax and trusts matters as well as the whole range of private client lawQualified SolicitorHigh degree of knowledge of complex trust accounting, including specialist areas such as Landed estates and charitable trustsHigh degree of knowledge of the taxation of trusts and UK taxation of offshore trustsKnowledgeable in the areas of Inheritance and Capital Gains Tax adviceEnthusiasm and commitmentRequirementsYou will be at least 10 years PQE – you should be handling a caseload in tax and trust mattersYou should have first-class client and people skillsOn offer is a competitive package with outstanding prospectsApply now for this stand-out opportunity at this leading practice, based in the Swansea office.
