Our client is looking for an exceptional Non-Executive Director to join their Board and Chair our Awarding Body Committee. You’ll provide strategic oversight of their qualifications and assessments, helping them maintain regulatory excellence and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving education and skills landscape. What They’re Looking For Credibility and senior leadership in education, awarding, regulation, or professional bodies Strong knowledge of qualification design, assessment principles, and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Ofqual, SQA, Skills England, Qualifications Wales, CCEA) Previous experience of chairing a board ,committee or governance body Experience of providing assurance to a board or regulator on compliance or quality matters. A strategic mindset and commitment to inclusive, future-facing leadership Passion for driving change, challenging the status quo, and mentoring senior leaders Commitment to public interest, learner protection, and regulatory integrity. Willingness to provide constructive challenge while maintaining professional relationships Analytical and problem-solving skills to support evidence-based decision-making The integrity, curiosity, and collaboration to thrive in a diverse, high-performing Board but with the desire to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and support the senior team when required Time Commitment Around 20 days per year, including prep and meetings (mostly virtual) Maximum 6 in-person days annually Term: Up to 6 years If you’re excited to help shape a more inclusive, forward-thinking legal profession, they’d love to hear from you.
