About The RoleAs Operations Director, you’ll take full ownership of our end-to-end operations, including manufacturing, purchasing, planning, logistics, site maintenance, and health & safety. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our products are produced and delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.You’ll lead a talented team and work closely with other departments to align operations with business goals, drive continuous improvement, and support our ambitious growth plans.About YouEstablished in 1991 by David Haythornthwaite, Tangerine Holdings first entity was Farmsense, which was established to provide farmers with nutritional alternatives to traditional antibiotics. Tangerine Holdings expanded into Veterinary Nutraceuticals in 1995 and has continued to grow and expand over the years to encompass various international subsidiaries as well as branching into the Leisure Industry with the introduction of Mill Farm Sports Village in 2016.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturingLead the development and execution of our manufacturing strategy.Ensure timely production aligned with stock levels and demand.Drive efficiency, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.Manage CAPEX projects and asset care strategies.PurchasingOversee strategic purchasing to optimise cost and supplier performance.Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate capital purchases.Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials.PlanningOwn stock forecasting and planning in line with sales targets.Maintain accurate SOPs and capacity plans.Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.LogisticsManage all warehouse operations and international shipments.Ensure compliance with export documentation and health certificates.Site & Fleet MaintenanceOversee maintenance of our Boundary Road site and company vehicle fleet.Ensure all vehicles are serviced and operational for business needs.Health & SafetyEnsure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Leadership & PeopleCoach and develop your team through regular appraisals and mentoring.Foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and employee engagement.What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking a dynamic, hands-on leader with:Proven experience in operations leadership within manufacturing (ideally feed, food, or pharma).Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and world-class operational practices.Experience managing capital projects and cross-functional teams.Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for improvement.Personal AttributesYou’ll be:A self-starter and natural leader.Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.Loyal, empathetic, and a true team player.Committed to high standards and continuous development. #J-18808-Ljbffr
