Overview Operations Director / Responsible Individual – Children’s Homes for a fast-growing children’s provider. Location: Midlands and South East. Salary: £70,000 – £85,000 (negotiable based on experience) + excellent benefits. Are you an entrepreneurial leader in children’s residential care with the vision to grow something special? This is your chance to shape, lead, and grow a cluster of services across the UK—with new homes pending Ofsted approval and bold expansion plans. Responsibilities

Lead a region of 4–5 children’s homes, with support to acquire properties and build from the ground up. Real autonomy — oversee everything from property, compliance, finance, and Ofsted processes, through to welcoming the first child. Work with a senior leadership team committed to best-in-class care—investing where it matters for children. Provide child-centred care and strong leadership across multiple sites. Have opened at least one children’s home and taken it through an Ofsted inspection. Demonstrate RI and multi-site leadership experience in children’s residential care. Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take full ownership and drive regional growth. Maintain strong relationships with Ofsted, local authorities and commissioners.

Qualifications / Requirements

Experience as RI and multi-site leadership in children’s residential care. Proven track record of opening and taking homes through Ofsted inspections. Strong relationships with Ofsted, local authorities and commissioners. Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership of regional growth initiatives.
