Job summary

This role is an exciting opportunity within the Professional Development Team of the Organ and Tissue Donation Directorate (OTDT) at NHSBT. You will undertake a full induction and training programme and receive ongoing development to support you in your role and career ambitions. The role focuses on administration of education and training courses for medical and nursing staff, and day-to-day support for the Professional Development team.

Main duties

  • Undertaking administration and clerical duties in support of OTDT, including maintaining records and filing systems
  • Inputting data into Excel spreadsheets
  • Receiving and making telephone calls and dealing with queries related to education and training courses
  • Undertaking routine correspondence
  • Booking hotels, travel, and other arrangements
  • General office duties such as minute taking, photocopying and scanning documents
  • Occasional travel and potential overnight stays (approximately 3–4 times per year)

About you

Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience of dealing with confidential matters
  • Experience of servicing formal meetings
  • Experience of using information technology and Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent systems

Qualifications and Training

  • NQV Level 3 or equivalent experience in an Office/Administrator post
  • Demonstrates commitment to continuing learning and development
