Position Summary

The Performance Planning & Optimisation Director is part of the Performance Planning & Optimisation team reporting to the Head of Performance Planning & Optimisation. The Performance Director is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies that align with client objectives. This role involves planning and overseeing campaigns across various digital channels, analysing key performance indicators, and using data‑driven insights to optimise and improve campaign efficiency. They work to optimise budgets, communicate regularly with clients, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach. This concerns support in the development of these ways of work and templates itself and the positioning of them within the Initiative / UM & CS Teams working for (Including Comms Design, Craft teams and Analytics team) as well as towards the external stakeholders. In addition, the Performance Director is expected to challenge digital media plans. In this role the Performance Director will attend briefing and strategy sessions with the client and will consult on topics such as cross channel testing opportunities and full funnel digital (audience) strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run the day‑to‑day operations on your client with the support of the team in delivering account stewardship.
  • Coordinate regions including providing support/guidance for local markets, gathering and building global media responses, analysing macro trends across the regions.
  • Oversee and manage the global planning process, coordinating and supporting markets as required, providing regular updates to clients about planning status.
  • Create global media responses and campaign plans for EMEA demand activity (channels include a display, social lead generation, content syndication).
  • Build relationships with day‑to‑day clients at both EMEA and global levels.
  • Work closely with global clients to ensure all campaigns are realized through operational excellence.
  • Provide regional (EMEA) financial stewardship. This includes ensuring that tasks such as budget reporting, budget management, booking authorization, and billing process needs are met in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Ensure communication of media and content needs and coordinate with partner agency teams on timely delivery of assets for the campaign.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key media partners and collaborate with them to generate innovation for the client.
  • Regular media, sector, and competitor‑specific trend & insight reporting.
  • Support the creation of campaign performance reports for both regional activity and the collation of these reports at a global level and present the findings confidently to clients.

Desired Skills & Responsibilities

  • Proven performance and digital media experience, including campaign execution and reporting.
  • Ability to drive projects from conception to completion; project management experience essential.
  • Experience in a global role and market coordination.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, advanced formulas, formatting) and PowerPoint experience.
  • Strong programmatic, trafficking and DCO experience.
  • Analytical mindset and a natural affinity and competence for handling figures and data.
