We are currently recruiting for a Portfolio Lead - Financial Risks to join our established and experienced Underwriting team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your role
The purpose of this role is to lead the UK Commercial Financial Risks line of business strategy ensuring that it sits within the RSA Group Financial Risks Strategy and risk appetite. To support the Head of ProFin in the design development and execution of the Underwriting Strategy for UKCL Financial Risks Portfolio.
This role will be responsible for developing UKCL Financial Risks products in line with RSA strategy / appetite, a point of referral for complex Financial Risks underwriting decisions, provide oversight of the UKCL Financial Risks portfolio to ensure that key metrics are performing as required and develop and maintain underwriting expertise.
About You
You are a qualified ACII (or hold an equivalent qualification) with a solid background in General Insurance Underwriting and hold an underwriting licence.
You will be seen as a developing expert in Financial Risks, with proven experience in underwriting large and complex risks and programmes.
You will have a strong track record of driving profitability through strategic underwriting risk selection, portfolio management, and effective pricing. Your expertise includes a growing in-depth knowledge of Financial Risks Insurance Underwriting best practices, FCA regulations, and commercial pricing models and methodologies.
