We’re looking for an experienced PR Account Director or Senior PR Account Director to develop and execute client strategies, deepen and grow our client relationships and nurture our exceptional team.You’ll join our amazing team of Jammers to ensure service excellence for established brands within the financial service and charity sectors, among others, with ultimate responsibility for their success, retention and growth.Reporting into the Managing Director, you will direct and lead on client strategies and ensure client service excellence.Who we areAs an integrated communications agency we devise and deliver comprehensive marketing solutions, utilising a combination of tactics that support clients in meeting strategic business objectives, encompassing everything from web (UX / UI / build), paid media, social media (paid and organic), PR, creative, digital outreach, brand development and more. Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the broader marketing mix but will be focussed on delivering PR and helping grow our PR offering.At Jam you will find a breadth of learning opportunities both in terms of the type of work (from campaigns, to creating new user experiences, to production) and will work with a senior management team that is committed to helping you build the right foundations towards career longevity through training and mentoring.ResponsibilitiesStrategically lead a team to foster and grow key accounts, devising PR strategies and campaigns that deliver real business resultsBuild and lead effective client relationships and act as the senior day to day client partner, maximising margins from each piece of workActively retain and develop existing clients to increase revenuesRemain hands on with client accounts – leading our account managers and execs to deliver tangible results for our clientsProvide support and guidance for more junior members of the account management teamDevelop new business – researching leads and pitching for new businessWork with the Associate Director and MD from initial scoping and creative brief through to productionMeet and liaise with clients to discuss and identify their requirementsHandle budgets, manage campaign costs and invoicingEnsure that all campaigns are planned, briefed and monitored to achieve excellence within agreed timescalesContribute accurately to weekly forecasting processAttend monthly client meetings and ensure the account team actions client requests and briefs in a timely mannerInvolvement in client planning and strategy sessions, contributing to materials and support with client co-ordinationAbout YouÜber-organised and detail-oriented individualA confident manager with a safe-pair of hands for both the agency and clientsStrong relationship management skillsStrong time management skills with an ability to prioritiseAbility to think quickly, solve problems and offer solutionsStrong leadership, teamwork skillsExcellent facilitator and highly pro-activeExperience of fully integrated solutions, including social media and broader digital activity is desirable but not essentialExcellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, with experience of cultivating senior client relationshipsDemonstrable commercial acumen with experience of growing revenues and effectively managing campaign budgetsProven experience in leading new business pitchesMinimum 2 years of working at Account Director level in an agency environmentGeneral CompetenciesAt Jam, we are humble, hungry and smart.
