We are seeking an experienced, proactive Practice Support Executive (12-Month FTC) to join our Construction and Energy team. The ideal candidate will support two partners, demonstrate initiative, manage tasks independently, and have legal litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare court documents, including bundles with pagination and bookmarking (via PDF documents).
- Utilize software such as iManage Share, BundleDocs, DocUSign, or similar for trial preparation.
- Manage diaries and travel arrangements, sometimes at short notice.
- Handle billing processes, including follow-up, tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Resource Management, Legal Project Management, and Finance teams.
- Assist with business development activities, such as uploading articles and updating CVs (not essential).
- Manage matter lifecycle tasks, including conflict checks, matter maintenance, onboarding new clients, and drafting engagement letters.
- Ensure correct billing rates are applied to new matter requests and engagement letters.
- Work with PDF documents, including flattening and paginating.
- Run and circulate weekly fee reports using PowerBi (training provided).
Essential Requirements:
- Proactive, innovative, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a legal or professional setting.
- Relevant secretarial qualifications (e.g., CILEx Legal Secretary or equivalent).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

- Ability to manage partners' diaries and organize events.

- Strong relationship-building skills.
