Our client has a requirement for an Operations Director with a working knowledge of lean manufacturing.

The successful individual will have a commercial outlook and will be orientated to achieve results through excellent people management.
Communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships are key.
The role involves the leadership, motivation and direction of 100+ people.
The aim of the role will be to
Improve all-round professional standards and team performance
Develop individuals within teams
Lead and promote innovative change and modern methodologies within the manufacturing area
Continue to enhance quality and delivery performance to stringent customer requirements and lead times
Identify, promote and deliver cost reductions
Promote health and safety throughout the workspace

The successful candidate will have substantial and successful experience in managing people and processes to high quality standards in time constrained activities whilst also reducing costs
a “shirtsleeves”, hands-on, approach to delivery of objectives
demonstrable success in creating and implementing change programmes with “hard” positive impacts on customer service, quality and cost
proven organisational and project management skills.
