The Global Client Partnerships (GCP) Project Director (PD) is the point of contact for a group of established global accounts. The PD will lead account team, with matrix leadership of an Account Manager and Insights Partners. They will direct project delivery, ongoing client relationships and business development activities focused on depth and expansion. There is line management responsibility for an account manager.

The PD will also partner with the VP Strategic Account team to optimise current and future business to deliver excellence in quality and efficiency internally and externally. As part of the global client partnerships team - the PD plays a critical role in the success of the team as a whole and will champion collaboration to deliver excellence for Global clients.

Job Role:

The PD will lead delivery and client relationship development for their accounts, ensuring that client service on those accounts is high. The PD will be in regular contact with key client stakeholders, learning about their business and their challenges and how STEM can support them. Acting as the 'voice of the client' within STEM, the PD will ensure that the relationships with the clients are maintained and if possible, improved.

The PD has a responsibility for business development, including maintaining current business and helping to grow existing business within the assigned accounts. The Project Director will partner the VP Strategic Accounts to plan Business Development activities for new areas within global accounts, working with them to support smooth transition from BD to delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct project delivery and ongoing client relationships
  • Develop business for STEM within assigned accounts
  • Partner with VP Strategic Accounts to plan Business Development activities
  • Coordinate with local STEM colleagues to ensure project delivery
  • Track account plan progress against defined quality and delivery measures

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge of STEM, its clients, its operations and how to develop business for STEM
  • Strong understanding of commercial operations roles and processes within pharmaceutical industry is preferred
  • Results-focused and excellent interpersonal skills to win business
  • Excellent communicator with ability to adapt communication style according to the situation and audience
  • Strong leader with ability to lead cross-functional work and lead through influence rather than position
  • Active listener with ability to network at high levels and be credible when interacting with senior individuals within client companies
