1. Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Provide overall leadership, vision, and direction for the school feeding project.
- Formulate annual and long-term strategies to ensure efficiency, transparency, and sustainability.
- Lead project planning, setting KPIs, and monitoring progress against targets.
- Represent the project at national, divisional, and district-level government meetings.
2. Government Liaison & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Government of Bangladesh, Ministry of Primary & Mass Education, Directorate of Primary Education, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure strict compliance with government contractual obligations, quality standards, and reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local administrations, development partners, and donor agencies.
3. Financial Oversight & Business Sustainability
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and fund utilization in line with government-approved cost structures.
- Work closely with the Finance & Accounts team for government billing, disbursement follow-ups, and reconciliation.
- Ensure operational profitability by driving cost optimization in sourcing, logistics, and warehousing.
- Identify and pursue co-financing, CSR, and donor partnership opportunities for long-term sustainability.
4. Operational Management
- Supervise the Operations Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Quality &
- Compliance Officer, and Upazila Coordinators.
- Ensure smooth functioning of the central warehouse, sub-hubs, and last-mile distribution.
- Review and approve daily/weekly distribution plans to ensure on-time delivery to schools.
- Monitor vehicle fleet, optimize routes, and enforce safety protocols.
5. Human Resource Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
- Build a culture of accountability, integrity, and high performance.
- Approve HR policies, manpower plans, and training modules to enhance staff efficiency.
6. Quality & Risk Management
- Ensure all food items (buns, eggs, and fruits) meet national and international food safety standards.
- Implement robust monitoring, evaluation, and reporting mechanisms.
- Develop contingency and business continuity plans for emergencies (flood, political unrest, supply disruptions).
- Mitigate financial, operational, and reputational risks.
7. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Oversee the design and implementation of strong monitoring systems for school-level distribution.
- Ensure real-time data collection, dashboard reporting, and analysis for decision-making.
- Submit regular progress reports to the government and board/investors.
