Currently seeking an exceptional Project Director from a tier 1 Construction, Main contractor background for lead the preconstruction through to delivery of a Design & build, super prime, retirement living scheme near Reading. This flagship scheme will set a new benchmark for design quality.
About the Project Director role
As the Project Director, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from pre-construction through to completion.
You will oversee design, procurement, construction and client management; ensuring the scheme is delivered to the highest standards of quality, budget and programme.
Responsibilities of the Project Director
Lead the over all project delivery strategy, managing multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams.
Oversee all aspects of programme, cost, and risk management
Drive value engineering and ensure project profitability and performance targets are met.
Liaise closely with client representatives, local authorities, and key stakeholder to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project life cycle.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sustainability objectives.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture across all project partners.
About the Project Director
Proven experience delivering complex, high value residential or mixed use developments (£30million+ in value)
Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of managing large professional and construction teams.
In-depth understanding of construction processes, contractual frameworks (Design & Build form of contract) and commercial management.
A proactive problem solver with excellent stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
Experience in retirement or later living sector is desirable but not essential.
