Project Director – High-End Residential (London)

Salary: £95K-£110K / Year

This well-established, 60+ year-old family-run building contractor specialises in renovation, extension and refurbishments of period and bespoke one-off properties. They have a requirement for a Project Lead / Project Director to join the team on prestigious high-end residential projects in London. Projects range from £4m to £20m on outstanding bespoke refurb and fit-out projects in prime central London. This role could appeal to someone at Senior Contracts Manager level looking after multiple projects, or a Project Manager seeking the next step.

The position:

• Directing and coordinating all project activities with a focus on performance.
• Setting, reviewing, and implementing project strategy.
• Utilising Project Commander software for programming, reporting, and delay analysis.
• Leading pre-construction and post-completion processes, managing defects and post-completion works.
• Overseeing people management, including team leadership, recruitment, and client expectations.
• Commercial Management: Understanding JCT contracts, managing notifications, claims, and disputes.
• Proactively working with commercial team members, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring accurate reporting.
• SHE (Safety, Health and Environment): Proactively managing all aspects of SHE on-site, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Administration: Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of compliance matters and utilising company processes and systems.
