Summary – Basic Function Of The Role
Hydratight is expanding its commercial leadership team with a Regional Business Development Director to drive growth across the UK and wider EMEA. This high-impact role is focused on the Oil & Gas sector, leading regional sales strategy and execution with an immediate priority on growing the UK market. The Director will secure new customers, strengthen key relationships with major operators and build a robust pipeline to support long-term growth. Acting as a senior commercial leader, they will coach and develop the sales team while shaping Hydratight’s market presence and succession pipeline across the region.
Role Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead commercial and sales activity across the UK and EMEA, with focus on accelerating UK pipeline growth in the first phase.
- Build, coach and manage a high-performing sales team, embedding customer excellence and consistent sales discipline.
- Win new business and expand existing accounts by engaging with senior stakeholders at major operators.
- Partner closely with the Commercial Director (EMEA) to deliver regional growth strategy, with succession potential to take on wider commercial leadership.
- Deliver accurate forecasting, pipeline management and reporting through Salesforce.
- Represent Hydratight externally, travelling regularly to meet customers, grow networks and build senior client relationships.
Qualifications And Experience
- Senior sales leadership experience within Oil & Gas or related energy services (10+ years).
- Proven track record of selling technical or engineered solutions into major operators.
- Strong customer network, particularly across the UK and Aberdeen markets.
- History of driving growth and building high-performing teams in multi-country regions.
- Resilient, entrepreneurial approach thriving on new business development as well as account growth.
- Comfortable with high levels of travel and consistent client engagement at VP/C-suite level.
Leadership and Team Fit
- Acts as a senior partner to the Commercial Director, EMEA.
- Brings balance of strategy and hands-on sales execution, able to set direction while driving key deals personally.
- Coaches and supports managers and account leads, giving them the tools and guidance to succeed.
