Job Description:
In the role of Regional Supply Chain Senior Director EMEAI you can be based anywhere within EMEAI and travel for this role leading the regional supply chain strategy and execution within our Global Supply Supply division at Sherwin-Williams EMEAI.
Regional Supply Chain Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement regional supply chain strategies aligned with global business objectives.
- Tailor planning and forecasting to meet the unique requirements of batch production and regulatory compliance in the coatings industry.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and trade regulations across the region.
Integrated Planning & Operations Management
- Lead end-to-end planning processes including demand forecasting, production scheduling, and inventory management.
- Balance customer demand with manufacturing capacity and raw material availability, particularly for hazardous or regulated substances.
- Manage the supply network to optimize logistics and distribution to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
Customer Service & Cost Optimization
- Ensure high service levels and responsive order management for industrial and specialty coatings clients.
- Optimize working capital and total supply chain costs, including raw material sourcing and inventory turns.
- Drive proactive communication and issue resolution to enhance customer satisfaction.
Systems, Tools & Performance Management
- Optimize planning systems (., SAP APO, IBP) and reporting tools to support real-time decision-making.
- Monitor and adapt KPIs (., OTIF, forecast accuracy, batch size) to reflect evolving business and regulatory needs.
- Ensure data integrity and traceability for compliance and operational excellence.
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Benchmark against global best practices in chemical supply chains.
- Promote sustainability, safety, and innovation across the regional network.
- Build and lead a high-performing, diverse supply chain team with a strong culture of safety and accountability.
- Drive employee engagement, succession planning, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with global supply chain, regulatory, and commercial teams to ensure alignment and enablement.
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree majoring in supply chain management, operations, or business administration.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, preferably in the chemical or coatings industry.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional, multicultural environments.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, AS400, and supply chain analytics.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS is a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in IBP/S&OP coordination.
- Fluent in English; additional EMEAI languages are a plus
Preferred:
- An advanced degree or relevant certifications in supply chain (such as IBP, APICS Six Sigma / Lean certification of green belt or above
- At least 2 years of experience in IBP/S&OP coordination.
- Cross-functional business domain experience in supported process areas is desirable, including:
- Logistics
- Manufacturing
- Sourcing and procurement
- Finance
