About the role
- Key member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the MD
- Combines hands-on new business generation with the responsibility to grow and lead a sales function
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure
- Drive high-value strategic relationships with merchants, CFOs and IT leaders in hospitality, events, and retail
- Lead tender processes and negotiate major contracts
- Shape commercial strategy and deliver on ambitious growth targets
- Represent the business at industry events and client sites across the UK
- Build out a sales team beneath you, developing talent and creating a winning culture
About you
- Senior B2B sales leadership experience in payments selling directly to merchants, ideally into stadia, hospitality, events, or retail/QSR
- Proven track record of winning and growing enterprise-level clients with some experience of managing a small sales team
- Strong negotiator with the ability to close complex deals
- Commercially strategic, but equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to deliver results
- Confident presenting value propositions to senior stakeholders (CFO, FD, IT)
- Willingness to travel frequently and attend client events, including some weekends
