Clariness is seeking a Senior Business Development Director (f/m/d) based in Germany, the UK, or the US. This is a full-time, unlimited position. Join a fast-scaling, tech-driven company and lead strategic growth across key markets in life sciences, focusing on accelerating medical breakthroughs through patient engagement and clinical trials via ClinLife.
We are a global team transforming how patients connect with clinical trials, with ClinLife having empowered randomized more than 28,000 patients across more than 50 countries.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive strategic growth in your top accounts and region, identifying and securing new business opportunities with pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO partners.
- Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers in Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, and R&D.
- Lead the full commercial cycle—from prospecting to pitching, proposal design, and deal closure.
- Translate client needs into tailored, impactful solutions that integrate Clariness’ recruitment, retention, and real-world evidence offerings.
- Deliver a consistent flow of high-quality proposals, leveraging internal resources and collaboration with delivery teams.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in strategic sales or as an account executive in life sciences, preferably with patient recruitment experience.
- Proven success selling into Clinical Operations or similar functions, with a network of senior-level contacts, ideally in patient recruitment.
- Formal training in a consultative sales methodology (e.g., Sandler, Miller Heiman, Challenger).
- Proactive, strategic, persistent, and able to build something from the ground up.
- Ambitious, entrepreneurial, and motivated by impact, autonomy, and innovation.
