We are seeking a talented individual to join our Power & Renewable energy team at Marsh Specialty. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The successful candidate will be joining a team that operates at the highest level of professionalism and insurance knowledge within their sectors, supporting our growing portfolio of renewable energy construction projects.
The role involves interaction with clients in the sector, our network offices, broking colleagues, lenders, and the insurance market.
You can expect to work in a fast-paced specialized team within the Renewable Energy Insurance Market that handles projects of various scales and challenges for clients with different levels of insurance experience.
For many projects, finance is involved, and working alongside lenders' insurance advisors will also be required.
Insurance placements will be diverse and offer the successful candidate exciting challenges daily.
We will count on you to:
- Lead renewable energy construction projects, proactively delivering our services.
- Provide clients with insurance risk management advisory services.
- Create and implement placement strategies for clients, coordinating with Marsh Energy and Power Specialty worldwide.
- Demonstrate strong awareness of the power & renewables market conditions to advise clients effectively.
- Develop relationships with other Marsh specialties to offer additional products to clients.
- Monitor account progress (documentation, claims, risk engineering, payments, collections, etc.) and anticipate problems.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, lenders, and insurance markets.
- Effectively communicate key cover terms and conditions to clients.
- Develop new business opportunities.
What you need to have:
- Proven experience managing large construction projects in the UK and/or globally.
- Significant experience in the construction sector.
- Experience in Renewable Energy Insurance is beneficial but not essential.
- Professional affiliations/accreditations (e.g., ACII) are desirable.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to escalate issues appropriately for client service.
- Confidence in presenting to clients and internally.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Teamwork orientation and collaborative work style.
