Senior Events & Strategic Partnership Executive

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced events professional to join our client's dynamic Events and Strategic Partnerships team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the firm's strategic goal of creating bold, creative, and distinctive experiences for clients and internal audiences. The role involves guiding sector and practice areas on event strategies, managing a pipeline of events, and working on flagship sponsorships such as the annual Photo Portrait Prize with the National Portrait Gallery.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Create and deliver external and internal events and sponsorship activities, managing them from start to finish. Events include conferences, seminars, round tables, webinars, drinks receptions, and hospitality events within the UK and internationally.
  2. Support large-scale firmwide events, including partner conferences and international sector and practice group events.
  3. Ensure all event and sponsorship collateral aligns with the firm's brand guidelines and maintains quality standards.
  4. Source and contract venues both in the UK and internationally.
  5. Manage event budgets in collaboration with Finance, ensuring accurate reporting.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating costs effectively.
  7. Measure and report on the impact of events and sponsorships, analyzing trends to optimize strategies.
  8. Manage the CRM system for targeting and attendance analysis.
  9. Coordinate with the Digital team to promote events via website, intranet, and social media channels.
  10. Collaborate with practice and business development teams to understand needs and advise on event and sponsorship options aligned with strategic objectives.
  11. Promote best practices in events marketing and serve as a 'centre of excellence'.
  12. Implement event team processes as needed.
  13. Apply effective project management techniques and best practices.
  14. Manage ad-hoc projects as directed by the Events and Strategic Partnerships Manager.
  15. Guide and support the Events Executive and Business Development Assistants.

*The firm operates a hybrid working policy of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.*
