Are you a Private Client tax specialist with a passion for sport? This is a rare and exciting opportunity to inherit a high-profile portfolio and take the lead in shaping the future of a thriving Private Client practice. Our client, a well-respected mid-tier / boutique firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager or Director to step into the shoes of a retiring Partner and take responsibility for a prestigious portfolio of sports professionals.

The Role

• Take over and manage an established and loyal portfolio of sports clients.
• Lead client relationships, delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services (first-class support team behind you).
• Work closely with the Partner during a structured handover period to ensure continuity and client confidence.
• Identify opportunities to grow the portfolio through referrals, networking, and business development – especially within the sports and entertainment sectors.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Private Client team, helping shape strategy and service delivery.
• CTA / ACA qualified (or equivalent) with significant Private Client tax experience.
• Currently operating at Senior Manager or Director level.
• Proven ability to manage complex client relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
• Either currently working with sports clients OR a genuine sports enthusiast.
• Commercially minded, with a track record of business development or portfolio growth.
• Strong leadership skills and the confidence to take ownership of a key client base.
