annual turnover in the mid-to-high hundreds of millions , known for its innovation and reliability in critical industrial solutions. The Opportunity: The Supply Chain Operations Director will lead and develop the Operations function across a multi-site organisation, with accountability for Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and EHS. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strategic oversight with day-to-day operational delivery. The focus is on strengthening operational resilience, embedding Continuous Improvement, and ensuring excellence across S&OP, supply chain, and production. Key Responsibilities: Drive operational performance across multi-site operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of products and services.
Strengthen and optimise the
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
process to balance demand and supply, improve delivery reliability, and enhance cost performance.
Lead the full
supply chain function , including procurement, planning, logistics, inventory, and contract manufacturing, focusing on resilience, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Champion
Continuous Improvement (CI)
initiatives and Operational Excellence to simplify processes, reduce waste, and drive measurable business impact.
Provide visible, hands-on leadership, embedding a culture of accountability, high performance, and team development.
Manage supplier and partner relationships to secure continuity, quality, and value for money.
Establish and monitor KPIs, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive performance.
Support strategic operational alignment initiatives to underpin growth and scale.
The Person: Proven experience leading multi-site manufacturing or engineering operations, with demonstrable success in supply chain, production, and quality improvement.
Strong operational and commercial acumen, with experience linking metrics to business performance.
Skilled in
performance management, team development, and leadership of cross-functional teams
in complex environments.
Experienced in CI/Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and embedding operational excellence in culture and processes.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on, problem-solving approach, resilient under pressure, and capable of navigating ambiguity.
