Job Description:
Binnies geotechnical team continues to grow, due to continued successes in tendering. As we enter the next water regulatory period (AMP8), we will be providing geotechnical input for the majority of UK water companies, building critical infrastructure with a focus on storm spill reduction. We also support water companies in developing designs for the new generation of reservoirs to safeguard future drinking water supplies.
This is alongside frameworks supporting the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, and the Canals and River Trust.
As part of this growth, we are offering advanced geotechnical services and taking on complex designs, including temporary works. This provides our staff opportunities to learn new skills and be involved in the expansion of our services. Many schemes are design and build, allowing us to see our designs come to life and be constructed.
About the Role:
- Providing technical oversight and direction
- Leading geotechnical work packages
- Driving technical innovation

Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Masters degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering preferred

- Proven track record in design, especially shafts, tunnelling, or reservoirs
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with stakeholders

We have a strong ‘ENGAGED’ culture, prioritizing employee wellbeing and work-life balance, with flexible and hybrid working arrangements. We support a diverse workforce to grow and develop.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to grow from good to great with Binnies.
