WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

We're recruiting an Associate Director to join the newly-formed Asset Management team, this is a great opportunity to play a role, be responsible for managing the client experience for the product, including in-life events, post-fulfilment activities, annual reviews, waivers/amendments and credit stewardship, whilst also ensuring alignment to core regulatory requirements, compliance with policies and delivering great customer outcomes.

You'll work collaboratively with a high energy team of product specialists, as well as key partners in other areas of the bank, to manage risk, unlock growth whilst championing an environment of diversity and customer centric innovation, promoting new ways of working to deliver our broader purpose – Helping Britain Prosper and delivery of business objectives over the short and medium term.

Transaction Bank Product knowledge with practical experience of Trade products (namely Invoice Finance, Asset-based lending (ABL)) and Commercial Banking are a minimum requirement, with full training provided for this key strategic role which provides a great opportunity for a high performing individual looking to progress within a growth business.

You’ll be responsible for playing an active role in supporting the risk management of the product portfolio; supporting complex activities, optimise client outcomes, product objectives through promoting risk management and a strong governance culture.

Roles and Responsibilities will include

  • Supporting the monitoring and ongoing management of portfolio risks, including regular collateral valuation and management, and definition and tracking of Key Performance Metrics
  • Collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including across clients, coverage and risk to deliver superior outcomes for our customers, by also enhancing and simplifying the Asset Finance governance journey
  • Management of a complex portfolio of assets, ensuring credit quality and timely internal reporting of performance and risk including preparation of management information and presentations
  • Monitor financial covenants, adviser reports and market developments to assess ongoing credit quality, market trends and customer feedback
  • Prepare and submit annual reviews, completion of product papers and credit applications in conjunction with Coverage, aligned with defined strategy and engage with colleagues in Product, Delivery, Lending Execution and Risk as appropriate

    What you’ll need

  • Understanding, prior knowledge of Transaction banking Product(s), management of such facilities, including some experience in portfolio risk management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in financial assessment, credit analysis or asset management.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, along-side knowledge of the different products, collateral types and deal structures
  • Awareness of market trends, and the opportunities and threats that these present to customers and the bank, risk management and Product frameworks
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience in managing multiple stakeholders, preferably in a large banking and financial services institution is desirable
  • Experienced in using suite of Microsoft Application, excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse complex information, identify risks and spot opportunities
