Job Title: Planning/ Transformation Director
Location: Remote (please note, this is a UK based position so the successful candidate must be based in the UK)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planning / Transformation Director to spearhead a critical initiative within our client's European planning organization. This is a unique opportunity to lead a cross-functional project that will redefine supply chain operations and deliver tangible business outcomes in service, cost and cash.
About the Role:
As the Planning / Transformation Director, you will be instrumental in translating strategic objectives into practical, scalable solutions. You will own the plan, governance and execution of your workstream, focusing on standardizing planning processes and rolling out a digital-first roadmap across Europe. This role is at the forefront of a major enterprise-wide planning transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Vision & Execution: Define the strategic vision, guiding principles and success criteria for operational hubs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and securing necessary governance approvals
- Target Operating Model Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement the target operating model (TOM), integrating insights from various workstreams and leadership teams
- Operational Setup: Coordinate with partners to secure suitable facilities, ensure robust connectivity and foster collaborative environments for new operational hubs. Manage planning, vendor relationships, onboarding, and stabilization until new setups achieve operational maturity
- Workstream Leadership: Lead the creation and execution of detailed workstream activity plans, including estimates, work breakdown structures and schedules, ensuring seamless integration with overall program requirements.
- Change Management: Partner with the program change lead to manage business change activities, leading stakeholder engagement, assessing change impacts and driving adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Implementation Drumbeat: Drive project implementation, track progress, manage plans to meet objectives within defined timescales and budget and own deliveries and gap closure.
- Risk & Resource Management: Proactively manage, escalate and mitigate program risks and resource sufficiency, ensuring close collaboration and alignment with other workstreams.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary workstream interface to business and program leadership, representing the workstream to key stakeholders and functions across all levels of the business.
About You:
You are an experienced professional with a proven track record in leading complex supply chain or digital transformation projects within a large, multi-national organization. You possess:
- Exceptional project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating high-level strategy into actionable plans
- Demonstrated experience in change management and driving adoption of new processes and technologies
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels
- A strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning processes and digital solutions
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
