I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Container Transport Planner to join a busy transport team in Grays. Working with a fleet of 50+ trucks and modern equipment, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning and execution of UK container movements.
Transport Container Planner (Nights) Responsibilities Plan and manage daily transport routes for a fleet of 50+ vehicles Book port slots using VBS (Vehicle Booking System) Utilise Transport Management Systems (TMS) for scheduling and tracking Work with online shipping line portals for container instructions and restitution Communicate with drivers, depots, ports, and customers React to operational changes and resolve planning issues quickly Ensure compliance with driver hours and WTD regulations Transport Container Planner (Nights) Requirements Experience in container transport planning (essential) Good knowledge of VBS systems and container restitution processes Confident using online shipping line portals Proficiency in TMS software Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK Strong communication and organisational skills Able to work efficiently under pressure Benefits Competitive salary up to £52,000 per year (depending on experience) Bonus scheme and regular paid overtime available - weekends and weekday Opportunities for progression WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
